Companion update version

Hi all my name is Joan Sanchez and I work at a TV station and we use Stream Decks in all of our control rooms to operate Caprica through Bitfocus Companion.

We recently updated Companion from v2.4.2 to v3.4.0 in order to utilize the “Companion Satellite” feature. However, after the update, all the Caprica CCs actions appear as undefined. The buttons are still there, but none of them are executing any actions.

Is there a way to update the software without having to completely rebuild all the pages?

Hi Joan

Sorry to hear this. Both version 2 and 3 of Companion are outdated by this point. On the other hand, regarding your question, is companion 4 now separated from the connection versions, so you can upgrade companion without upgrading the connections. I recommend building your setup in Companion 4, the best one so far.

(Also, if you should need support/someone to call when things fail, you should consider using Bitfocus Buttons.)
